Members of the First Presbyterian Church of Logan have a long history of serving the church and community. Church members are involved at Logan Regional Medical Center, Rotary, Lions, Southern Foundation, Community Fund, Chamber of Commerce, P.R.I.D.E., and many other organizations serving our community. Presbyterians believe the gospel is about action and mission within our communities and the world.
Our biggest challenge is to help each member of our congregation find his or her mission. What is yours? Do you have one? If you do, do you share it with others. If not, call Rev. McDermott at 752-6232 or e-mail him at rev.mcdermott@verizon.net to discuss which volunteer activity might be most fulfilling to you.
Where do you fit in all of this? What talents do you have to share, and how much time do you want to invest? Consider the areas below and see what interests you the most.

"The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet." Frederick Buechner

The Good News of Jesus Christ is to be shared with the whole world. As disciples of Jesus Christ, each of us in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is sent into the world to join God's mission. As individuals and as a church, we are called to be faithful in this discipleship. Our mission is centered in the triune God. Our mission is God-called, Christ-centered and Spirit-led. Our mission is both proclamation and service; it is the reason the church exists.
