During our
faith journeys we all have questions and frequently we are able to find
the answers and sometimes not. An important characteristic of
Presbyterians' is, we are always asking questions and seeking God's will
for our lives and faith. We believe that asking questions and
seeking God's response through God's Word, prayer and study is essential
to our spiritual growth. We all have questions and we want you to
have the opportunity to ask. Maybe you have a question about
being a Presbyterian, scripture, reformed theology, the church,
salvation, grace, worship practices, etc. Send your question by
e-mail to Rev. McDermott and he will attempt to provide an answer or at
least help guide your further reflection on the question and e-mail a
reply. |
All questions will be held in the strictest confidence. Below you
will find some typical questions and answers that Rev. McDermott has
been asked in the past. Your question may be the type of question
that many others are also asking and Rev. McDermott after responding to
your question may ask your permission to use your question and response
on this web page.
Any information that might identify you will be removed
from the question and answer so that no one will know you asked.
If the question and answer is so personal and specific to you, that it
cannot be used in a confidential way we will not use it. In my
experience, if you are asking the question, most likely, many others are
asking the same question and you would be assisting many others by
permitting us to use your question. I cannot guarantee an answer
for every question, because there are questions that remain mysteries
from God's people and God has reasons to keep them mysteries. |
